About
I've spent the better part of a decade thinking about software quality — not just as a process or a checklist, but as a property that emerges from the decisions teams make every day.
These days, most of my work sits at the intersection of AI and quality engineering: helping teams figure out how to use AI agents effectively in their development workflows, how to test AI-powered systems, and how to maintain confidence in software that increasingly involves non-deterministic behaviour.
I write here because thinking in public sharpens thinking in private. If something I write helps you make a better decision about software quality, that's the whole point.
I work at Slalom. Everything here reflects my own views, not my employer's. If your team is exploring AI-powered quality engineering and wants help beyond what I write about here, Slalom is a good place to start that conversation.
Expertise
Designing multi-agent systems, evaluating agent behaviour, and building reliable pipelines on top of LLMs.
Test strategy, risk modelling, and embedding quality thinking across the entire engineering lifecycle.
Modern automation architecture, tool selection, CI/CD integration, and eliminating flakiness at scale.
Building teams that care about quality — without making it a bottleneck.
Currently Working On
- Building AI-augmented testing workflows that reduce manual effort without sacrificing signal
- Writing about the practical realities of agentic systems in production
- Consulting with teams navigating the shift from traditional QA to AI-assisted quality engineering
